Board Games Showcase 2015 from ICAT, Hyderabad
As a saying suggests, "A True learning happens through practical process rather than sitting in a place and acquiring knowledge of information". ICAT is proven to be an excellent facilitator of platforms that provide optimal learning experience to its students, through the strategic academic activities.
In line with conducting exciting activities, ICAT conducted a Board Game exhibition on 26 November, 2015, at "Mandal Parishat High School, Nagole". It proved to be one of the best academic endeavors by ICAT students, with hundreds of thrilled participants.
Our L4 Interactive Media and Communication Design students showcased their board games (that were created as part of the PCTCM and Design Study module) to the students of class 6 to 10. The event aimed at exposing our students to live audience to test the effectiveness of various design and development factors, such as fun, player engagement, difficulty level, level of understanding , overcoming factors, time engaged etc
The event turned from an academic procedure to an amusing carnival with kids running for their favorite games, standing in queue to play, shouting out of happiness after winning and bragging in front of their friends about their play.
It was one of the best activities from ICAT, Hyderabad to develop leadership, management and communication in the students.
