Ayudha Pooja Celebration 2021 @ ICAT, Bangalore
ICAT Design and Media College, Bangalore celebrated Ayudha Pooja on 13th of October, 2021 to reflect Indianness and make people aware of its significance. Ayudha Puja is the day we celebrate to express gratitude to all the instruments that add value to our life. It takes into consideration small things like knives, scissors, spanners etc as well as bigger devices such as computers, machinery, books and vehicles. In olden times, weapons used in war were worshipped as they were the means of defeating enemies. For instance, in Karnataka, celebrations on Ayudha Puja commemorate the slaying of the demon king Mahishasura by Goddess Chamundeshwari, an incarnation of Parvati Devi. The festival began with the worship of Goddess followed by sweets distribution.
