Awareness Session on Menstrual Hygiene 2024 @ ICAT, Bangalore
Icat Design and Media College organized an Awareness Session which delved into two crucial aspects of women's health: menstrual hygiene and cervical cancer. The programme aimed to empower individuals through knowledge and awareness.The session commenced with a warm welcome address. Following this, Dr. V. Narayana Swamy, the principal of ICAT Media and Design College, presented a bouquet to Dr. Midhuna Vinesh, from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Apollo Hospital, Bangalore.
Dr. Midhuna Vinesh then took the session, captivating the audience with her expertise and passion for women's health. She commenced the session by delving into the nuances of menstrual hygiene, debunking myths, giving practical insights for maintaining cleanliness and comfort during menstruation. Transitioning seamlessly, Dr. Vinesh shifted the focus to cervical cancer awareness, emphasizing the importance of regular screenings and early detection in preventing this disease.
After the session, the Cultural Head Sruthi from the Multimedia Department presented a gift as a token of gratitude to Dr. Midhuna Vinesh. This gesture symbolized the collective appreciation of the college community for her enlightening discourse and invaluable guidance.
