Tamil Nadu Wildlife Day Celebration 2015 @ ICAT, Chennai

“The students of ICAT College, Chennai participated in Tamil Nadu Wildlife Day Celebrations organized by the Tamil Nadu Forest Development Department. The event was conducted on 8 October 2015, at Guindy Children’s Park to create awareness in the youth on the importance of conserving our forests. Students from schools and colleges across Tamil Nadu participated in this event, performing in front of the Ministers of the Tamil Nadu Government – Ms. Valarmathi, Mr. Anandan and top Administrative Officers across departments.

ICAT students of M.Sc. Multimedia, PG Multimedia Technologies and PG Advertising performed two skits highlighting the blazing issue of forest conservation. The students penned the plot, dialogues, lyrics, and composed the music for the songs that were a part of the drama. The students B.Sc. Media Technologies and B.A. Photography created a Poster Design and Photography showcase, the theme being Wildlife and Conservation.

The works of our students were well received and hugely appreciated. All the students were awarded with a Certificate of Participation and an 8 GB pen drive as a token of appreciation.
